Independent gas turbine services

More running hours for your gas turbines

Full service for the Siemens SGT fleet. Control systems for gas turbines and turbo compressors of any make. And the engineering services that show what a machine is really doing — delivered by specialists who understand compressor stations and power plants, not just the turbine.

What we do

Three ways to work with us

One team, three offers — from a single troubleshooting visit to full responsibility for your SGT fleet.

Turbine Services

Engineering services for every gas turbine, whoever built it: troubleshooting, performance and vibration testing, DLE tuning, commissioning support, training and second opinions. Fast to book, independent by design.

Start where it hurts. Most customers first meet us on a troubleshooting call, a performance test or a control system study — and grow the relationship from there, machine by machine.

SGT Full Service

The Siemens SGT fleet, served completely

These machines are complex — which is exactly why few independents serve them properly. We cover both sides in one team: the complete controls scope and the full mechanical scope, from Rustronic to modern PLC systems and from air intake to exhaust.

UCP retrofit & new-build: complete unit control panels — engineered, built, factory-tested and commissioned, with the unit back on load to schedule.

Legacy migration: Rustronic Mk II, GE Mark series, Woodward and other ageing platforms migrated to SIMATIC PCS 7 / S7 or Allen-Bradley — logic conversion included.

Fuel governor & DLE combustion control: design, programming, tuning and monitoring — the discipline that decides emissions and stability.

Compressor & station control: anti-surge control, surge testing, load-sharing and advanced station control for transmission and storage plants.

Safety & certification: protection logic, SIL and HAZOP studies, functional safety documentation with certified bodies.

Fleets we know from the inside

Careers

Work on machines, not on paperwork

We are a small senior team with real machines, real customers and standards worth learning. If gas turbines are your craft — or you can run the projects around them — we should talk.

Engineering · Germany / hybrid · full-time

Gas Turbine Specialist — all disciplines (m/f/d)

You know a gas turbine from the inside — controls, mechanical, commissioning, or all three. Here, that knowledge is the product, not a line in an org chart.

What you will do

  • Work hands-on on Siemens SGT, Rolls-Royce, GE and Solar fleets — retrofits, overhauls, troubleshooting, commissioning.
  • Make decisions on machine behaviour, next to specialists with 15–25 years on these fleets.
  • Build the type standards and tools the next generation learns from.

What you bring

  • Serious depth on at least one gas turbine family — OEM, operator or independent background.
  • Systematic fault-finding, mechanical feel or EI&C depth — ideally both.
  • Negotiation-level English and the willingness to travel to sites across Europe and beyond.

Project management · Germany / hybrid · full-time

Project Manager — International GT Projects (m/f/d)

Our specialists should think about machines, not about claims and cash flow. You run the commercial and contractual side of complex gas turbine projects — so the engineering stays brilliant and the project stays on track.

What you will do

  • Steer international turbine projects end to end: contracts, claims, schedule, subcontractors, reporting.
  • Own the commercial interface to operators, EPCs and partners in Europe and the Middle East.
  • Build the project playbook for a growing business — processes that scale beyond the next order.

What you bring

  • Track record managing complex projects in oil & gas, energy or process industry.
  • Contract and claim competence (EPC or service contracts); commercial fluency in English, German a plus.
  • The seniority to hold your own between customers, partners and strong-willed engineers.

Frequently asked

Straight answers

Which gas turbines does Vanecor service?

Vanecor provides full service — controls and mechanics — for the Siemens SGT family from SGT-100 to SGT-800, control systems for gas turbines and turbo compressors of any make (including Rolls-Royce RB211 and Avon, GE Frame 1–9, Solar) and engineering services for every gas turbine.

Is Vanecor an authorised OEM partner?

No — deliberately. Vanecor is an independent service provider and is not affiliated with any original equipment manufacturer. That independence is what allows vendor-neutral advice and open, maintainable control platforms.

Can you still supply parts and software for the SGT-200?

Yes. The SGT-200 is discontinued, but more than 500 units remain installed worldwide. Vanecor runs a dedicated aftermarket offer: spare parts manufactured by qualified European workshops to our engineering, control software, and continued-operation support.

Can Vanecor service Ruston TA and TB machines?

Yes — outside our core SGT scope, but well within our experience. The TA and TB series are the Lincoln predecessors of today’s SGT fleet: TA1260, TA1500, TA1750 in the 1–2 MW class and TB3000, TB4000, TB5000, TB5400 in the 3–4 MW class, built by Ruston and later European Gas Turbines / Alstom. None ever received an SGT designation, which is exactly why support is hard to find today. We have extensive hands-on experience on these machines and are glad to look at specific enquiries.

What about the MAN THM 1304?

Same answer: not part of our core portfolio, but well within our experience. The THM 1304 is the twin-shaft industrial gas turbine originally developed at Gutehoffnungshütte (GHH) in Oberhausen and marketed as MAN GHH — today Everllence, the former MAN Energy Solutions. It runs as the THM 1304-10 and THM 1304-12 (current versions -10N and -12N) at roughly 10 to 12.5 MW, with gas generator and power turbine mechanically independent, and it is widely installed in gas compression, CHP and offshore duty. We have extensive experience with these machines and are happy to discuss specific requirements.

Do you work on Allison gas turbines?

On the controls side, yes. The industrial Allison 501-K — KB5, KB7 and KH — went to Rolls-Royce in 1995 and to Siemens in 2014, and is sold today as the SGT-A05. Our experience on these machines is in controls: fault-finding, non-OEM control retrofits and the migration of ageing systems to Siemens SIMATIC PCS 7 / S7 or Rockwell Allen-Bradley. Mechanical scopes on the 501-K are not part of our offer — tell us what you need and we will say plainly what we can and cannot cover.

Do you cover the GE LM series?

Yes — controls on the LM fleet are one of our strongest areas. We design and supply unit control panels (UCPs) for every LM type, with and without DLE — LM1600, LM2000, LM2500 (including LM2500+ and +G4), LM5000 and LM6000 — and we handle control retrofits, platform migrations, functional testing and commissioning on units already in service. For mechanical scopes such as overhaul, repair and module exchange we work with our partner VBR Turbine Partners, an independent LM2500 / LM6000 specialist. One enquiry, one accountable route through both.

Which control platforms do you work on?

Siemens SIMATIC PCS 7 / S7 and Rockwell Allen-Bradley. We migrate legacy platforms — Rustronic Mk II, GE Mark series, Woodward — onto these open systems, including logic conversion and factory acceptance testing.

Where does Vanecor work?

Vanecor is based near Oldenburg, Germany. The core region is Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom; projects run across Europe and selectively in the Middle East.

How do projects usually start?

Most customer relationships begin small: a troubleshooting visit, a performance test or a control system study. Describe the machine and the problem — a specialist answers, usually within one working day.
